German Arrested over Theft at Phuket Hotel

A foreign guy who turned and smiled at a CCTV camera while stealing money from a hotel in Patong, Phuket, was arrested.

Amid the vibrant streets of Patong, Phuket, an audacious tale unfolded that left both authorities and onlookers bewildered. It was a seemingly ordinary day on January 26, around 5:30 p.m., when the tranquility of a hotel in the area was disrupted by an unexpected act of thievery.

The main protagonist of this peculiar story was none other than Mr. Mohamed Yassine Zariouh, a 22-year-old individual hailing from Germany. What set his misdeed apart from the commonplace was not just the act of stealing but the bold risks of literally ignoring the CCTV camera, as if acknowledging his actions, and offering a smile, not knowing that this smirk would become the catalyst for his undoing. The Phuket Provincial Court, recognizing the severity of the transgressions committed, swiftly issued an arrest warrant against Mr. Zariouh.

He was thereafter charged with theft at night; an act shrouded in darkness both metaphorically and literally. As the wheels of justice turned, the once-smirking figure found himself facing the consequences of his actions. The arrest not only marked the end of his brief stint as a daring hotel thief but also became a testament to the unwavering commitment of Phuket's law enforcement to safeguarding the community.
